ABOUT

Studying in Denmark and Spain has affected my style. My architectural background influences how I approach projects by considering both function and aesthetic. While I don’t currently hold a California Architectural License, the work I do falls between what is typically performed by an architect and a designer. My years in Northern California have inspired me to be much more inclusive and eclectic in my design selections. I am a fan of the casual luxury that combines the best quality with a welcoming and relaxed feel.

WHY DESIGN?

Growing up in Denmark, I was always drawn to ‘creating’ since childhood. Whether I was in my room drawing, outside carving wood or building hay-bale forts, I always seemed to be in a ‘creative’ process. I worked with graphic design before I enrolled at Architecture School. Working with architectural projects, creating homes, workplaces or urban spaces is a perfect fit for me. Collaborating with clients and professionals and seeing a project being built is a fun and gratifying process for me.

BACKGROUND

I graduated with a MA in Architecture from Denmark’s Aarhus school of Architecture in 2000. Previous partnerships include architectural firms in Copenhagen, Denmark and in Barcelona, Spain as well as Cohen Associates and Skurman Architects in San Francisco, California.
